Huge ride for an awesome cause
Ride starts in Dallas, TX at Stroker's on Harry Hines Blvd. This Saturday 7/28.
Travis Mills is a real American hero. He is only the 4th person to survive a quadruple amputation due to injuries sustained in the Iraq/Afghanistan theater of combat. There is a benefit ride to support this hero. Details are below. I will be out there riding with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. I invite any and all that want to be part of an awesome ride and support this hero to come out and join us.

Let's skip straight to the good stuff! We all know the why (Travis Mills) and for those of you going, that was enough...but man, are you in for a great day!
Strokers will be opening up before 8 am so the bikes can get ready! Coffee and donuts will be provided. I'm sure the bars will be open, too. Ride will be starting at 10:00 am (that's the goal anyway) and will be started by US Congressman Sam Johnson by a single gun shot. Dallas Police Department will be escorting the ride to the American Legion, Post 88, in Lake Dallas. On your ride, you will want to look up (safely) right past 635, as you will have an air escort as well. A UH1 (also known as a Huey) will be flying along and saluting you as you ride into Lake Dallas. You will also ride under two Ladder Trucks draping a large American Flag. As you ride into the Legion, and exact replica of the Liberty Bell, surrounded by the Sons of the Civil War group, will be ringing to welcome you in.
I know all you non-riders are really bummed right now, but don't be! At the Legion we will have food provided by Texas Road House ($10 plates), the amazing Jerry Smith will be providing acoustic entertainment from 1-3, from 3-5 you can get your Texas Country groove on to the music of Saints Eleven, and from 5-7 Johnny B and the Doo Wops are going to help you getting your boogie shoes on!
And that's not all! Card Sharks is sponsoring a Texas Hold 'Em tournament (starting between 12:30-1) and ADA will be sponsoring a Dart Tournament (same time frame). There will be a silent auction, many raffle items, a 50/50 drawing, and of course...a lot of fun!
Can't wait to see you all there and thank you SO MUCH for all the support you've been providing!
