I'll be there...but I live here! LOL! Just be advised that it is NOT at the race track this year. They moved it to the Inn of the Mountain Gods Casino.

 

I'm thinking about it. Whats it comparable to?

 

Been there 3 times, beautiful country to ride. Tried to make is to Roswell the storms were really bad, finally made it there the third time. Good Christian Bike Rally

went to the aspencash rally in may...it was a joke...the trade show was t-shirts and bling. beware, the indians will over-charge you for everything. the machines are very tight in the casino(80% payback) and you do not get free drinks while you play. you have to go sit in bar area and pay $5 for a beer. this is nothing like the aspencade rally that til thompson used to put on in the 70's. this is just a money grab.

I don't do the rally "stuff". Last year's concert was Blue Oyster Cult and previous was 38 Special., this year it appears that they won't have a name band "pay" concert but will have several free concerts.

I mainly go to ride the area and visit with friends.

 

We will be going this year. I've been there before. Like was previously stated, not much in the way of vendors, but I go for the riding.

 

I've been probably a half dozen times. There is great riding in the area. The rally is OK. We usually just get a day pass for Friday and knock around the rally some looking at vendor stuff and the bikes. Saturday is very crowded and I don't imagine it will be any different out at the Inn.

In my book, the best ride is from Ruidoso, down to Alamogordo, up to Cloudcroft, out to Sunspot and back to Cloudcroft then over the Mescalero back to Ruidoso. Watch for deer though, especially toward Sunspot.

The weather can be perfect or crappy so bring your gear.
