Default Arizona rain

we usually have excellent weather, so thought all the riders and myself who were up north this weekend. I got drenched in Prescott, stopped for food and ended up meeting a guy who works a block from my work in Phoenix. Almost got a hotel room, but the edge of rain was ten miles out of town. So it was through rain then back to paradise, except for Sunday I-17 traffic.

Funny as most people would think because we live in the desert we don't get much rain. I'm originally from Chicago and I've seen some of the heaviest rain in my life during our monsoon season here. My buddy and I got caught in pretty bad storm coming back from Pine.

I guess I count myself lucky. Moved to AZ from Michigan in 2006. I ride my Bike to work every day. Its 45 mile round trip. I only got caught in the rain maybe 10 times. But when it rains,it really rains

You're close, you were in paradise and came back to Phoenix.

We ride all year, north in the summer and south in the winter months.

A couple of weeks ago we were riding up Lake Mary Road to Flagstaff and ran into rain and pea sized hail - had to get off the road, but pine trees don't offer much protection. A few days later they had the tornadoes.

There's almost always a good chance you'll run into rain / high winds somewhere in the high country.

I am just glad we don't have to store our bikes for the winter. A lot of guys are coming to grips with the end of another riding season. Not us. We get to roll all year long!

Yes but..........some of the summer can be a little brutal!

Good to see you guys from AZ posting again, I was beginning to think that AZ had following off of the world.
