Rode through there in a group of 10 bikes Thursday heading toward Safford
and it was "closed" about 10 miles past Alpine with a big sign, but the surface
was almost completely dry so we pressed on.

The snow banks were about 3-4 feet high and for about a half mile narrowed down
to one clear lane, but there was no problem getting through. Lot's of small rock
slides in the super tight twisties area though.

Mike,

I bet that was a chilly ride. Wow, I can't believe you did that.
