Default Question for New Mexico riders

Looking to take 64 out of Raton to Farmington Nm. Is this a doable ride in one day? Google maps has it at about 298 miles, but have not traveled here before and was wondering about road conditions, twistys, etc. Much obliged for any info.

Default Sure you can...

It's a long day but a doable one. Get an early start; have a bite of lunch in Taos. Enjoy the stretch from Taos to Tierra Amarilla. Watch for deer and enjoy the magnificent vistas. You'll be there by dark.

It's mostly all mountain riding, but quite doable. If you want, let me know when you get to Farmington, and maybe we can have a cup.

June? Maybe you ought to ride with the SW HDF & Green Chili riders...we start on June 15 out of Taos and eventually end up at Farmington. Even if just for a day, be good to meet you. The link is at the top of this page.

BTW, Bill Nourse is a retired cop so he'll want a donut with the coffee.
