We were coming back from a ride down to Tucson on Saturday and right where the 60 turns into the actual freeway we saw the eastbound lanes pretty much closed off, and a motorcyclist down. I haven't found anything on azcentral or the other news sites about it, but it looked like there was a matress and bicycle nearby, so our best guess was that something wasn't secured in the back of a truck, and flew out and either struck the biker, or he ran over it and lost control.

Seems like there have been more accidents the past few weeks. There were several over the weekend (that one on the 87 on Saturday, the Marine that was hit from behind by a car going 100mph in Scottsdale early Sunday morning, and a few the week before). Everybody, PLEASE be careful out there!

 

scaryjerry your usually running from the lights and sirens not thru them. I'm turning you in for reward money to pay for tires.

 

I could get my next few services done for nothing if I turned everyone in for what we did that was illegal on that ride - including a certain Deuce that tried to leave the pack behind on the mountain.

 

Maybe there's some things that the chick that stayed home shouldn't know about!!

 

donna, joe and dave were falling asleep I needed to wake them up a little bit. I got a stern talking to when somebody told lori that evening.

 

Joe and Dave fall asleep?? How slow was the group going?? I'm the one that falls asleep on the bike, but only on the back of Joe's.

The guy that hit the bicyclists turned himself in yesterday. I saw it on the news yesterday.
