Went home for lunch....couldn't stand it...had to... So I rode the bike back to work. I'll be taking "The Long Way Home"....should be able to stretch 60 miles easily. The "call" was too loud for too long It's a heat wave...I think it's up to 35, but no snow and no ice.

Went for a short ride yesterday when the temp climbed to 41. Even with long johns, flannel-lined jeans and new heavier gloves I was shaking like a leaf after less than 20 miles. May look at getting that detachable wind shield I dreamed about last night.

Yes indeed.............key word-------------Heater!
The temp Saturday morning was 15, that was around 07:00am.
It may not sound all that cold to someone north of the Red River, but I ain't built for that kind of cold chit!

+1

So how many of ya'll really didn't believe the weather man about how cold for how long ???? besides me ??? and didn't bother to insulate outdoor/exsposed pipes and or valves.. I only had one valve freeze hard enough to brake it. Normally I am the first to run out and prep for a freeze. But I have gotten tired of prepping for nothing.... but this turned out to be something... I was very lucky !

me too. took the 10 minute ride to Alamo to look at the new bikes, then took 1 1/2 hours to get home via O'Connor, Evans, FM 2252, FM 3009, FM 1863, 281, 1604, O'Connor.

sure beats my weekly therapy sessions!

Best therapy sessions are on 2 wheels.

Paul this was the only time I prepped for the cold weather in the last 18 years. Had 3 days that was a hard freeze. No problems...
