I live down in Live Oak County but run to the hill country regularly. Schedule permitting (I work offshore) I am always up for a ride. I am probably going to put a travel trailer in Bandera sometime this year simply because you can never find a place to stay there.

Danger on the three sisters. Gravel, marble sized.

Old pavement is ok, new pavement slippery with marble sized gravel in turns.

Where is most of the new pavement at? Also did they finish the construction between Utopia and Garner State Park?

16 from Kerrville to Medina is good. Also good from Helotis through Bandera to Medina.

337 is good from Medina to Leakey and beyond.

335 has gravel in spots between CP Wood and highway 41. Sneaks up on you even at casual speeds.

336 also between 41 and Leakey.

1050 from US 83 over to Utopia is paved now, in good shape. Just doing work on ditches and bridges.

Lost Maples country store now has burgers and BBQ sandwiches and a nice indoor place to eat.

I rode over 250 miles today.

Thanks for the Update. Sounds like the better parts are still good to go especially out of Utopia. My next run there will be via Utopia and to Camp Wood then return to Bandera on 337. It is the better road and there isn't anywhere to stop on 336,41,335.
