Default Weekend ride

Dear OF&Wers,

I have got a real itching to ride. Last Sunday was good but it did not scratch that itch to put some serious miles on the bike. Either Saturday or Sunday (depending if anyone wants to go and when they are avaliable) I will be doing a 300-350 mile ride. I am an early riser and will be hitting the road a little early to try and beat the heat. Will make the loop from Boerne to Kerrville to Hunt to Vanderpool and do at least one of the Three Sisters and maybe more, back through Medina to Boerne to home.

If anyone is interested let me know and I will follow up with you. If you want to ride I will start as late as 8:00 for later risers but if no one wants to make the trip I will probaly be out by 6:45 - 7:00am and home by 2:00 for some cold beer and a dip in the pool. You are also invited for cold beer and a swim at our place in Bulverde if interested. Just let me know your plans as I will need to load up on more beer.

Big Red

Default Missed everyone

I'm really sorry so many of you OF&Wers had to work today.

Headed out at 6:45 this morning from Bulverde to Boerne for breakfast. From there went to Bandera, Medina, Vanderpool and rode the Three Sisters. Back into Leakey to finish the Three Sisters ride then caught 83 to 39 and into Hunt, Kerrville, Boerne and back home.

Total miles today around 380 and it was most enjoyable. It was over cast and cool all morning and was a great day to be riding (but aren't they all).

I missed having some riding buddies but the reality is most times I ride solo. I was invited to ride with a group called the Hill Country Motorcycle Riders. They are most likely a great group of people but when I saw their route was 4.5 hours and 117 miles I decided that probably did not fit my style of riding.

Hope to catch some of you OF&Wers next time around. For me that will be next weekend so if you are interested just give a "holler".

Sounds like you had a nice ride, Big Red, wish I would have rode with you, but had volunteered to work OT on Sunday. Hope to ride with you again soon.

rooti,

My preliminary plans are to ride Sunday. Haven't given much thought to the route but would enjoy having you along. When I solo I generally like to ride between 275-400 miles so I feel like I have been in the saddle. Road/highway speed normally varies from 65 to 85++.

As the weekend gets closer I will be in touch and if there is any particular route you like let me know. Otherwise I will come up with something.

If any of you other OF&W can get free for a Sunday ride you are MORE THAN WELCOME.

Would love to have you along sir and I understand from some of your pictures why you are VERY concerned that the ladies are well taken care of.
