OF&W,
I sure wish I could join you guys. I don't even remember the last time I took a real ride.
At this time of year I'm just too tied down with work trying to keep money in my clients' pockets instead of letting the dufus group in Washington get their paws on it. Though the money probably needs to go to Washington to help reduce the $14,052,000,000,000 deficit I just can't bring myself to hand my money or clients' money over to stupidity. Just think, if you made $10 million dollars a year from the day you were born you would have to live 1,405.2 years to pay off the current deficit of $14.052 trillion.
Speaking of deficit, in the last two years we have accumulated national debt at a rate of more than 27 times as fast as during the rest of our entire nation's history. Over 27 times as fast. Metaphorically speaking from a motorcycle perspective, if I am riding along on the road to Llano for some bar-b-que at my normal 65 mph and another motorcyclist rides past me 27 times faster then he would be doing 1,755 mph (that would probably only be Mike or Mud).
Well The Big Red machine started getting her new paint job yesterday. The color is lime green with burnt orange circles. She should be about the uglist bike on the road but she will be different than any other bike FOR SURE!!!
You OF&W know better than that. I am not that delirous from the 75 hour weeks. I will leave the paint scheme to surprise but rest assured she will still be properly called The Big Red machine.
You guys enjoy the spring as I won't be back in the Hill Country until after April 18, this years' filing deadline. On ocassional Sunday afternoons I am doing a little cruising around the neighboring rural communities on the 2007 50th Anniversary Limited Edition XL 50 Sporty with only 700 miles on her that I picked up from a client in one of those rare deals that I just could not refuse. She is not like The Big Red machine but for a little bike is fun and I am enjoying having her in the stable.
I am presently working on adding a 2006 VRSCR Street Rod to my stable. She has $12,000 of add on accessories and only 120 miles on her. She was built as a show bike and obviously never ridden but right now the seller is still in love with her so we haven't gotten close to agreement on the price. He thinks I am too hard of a negotiator and I keep trying to convince him that after market add on accessories are worth at most 15 to 20 cents on the dollar and more realistically not even that much. I will see where it ends up but I'm having fun dealing.
Until I can hook up again with all you OF&W, ride a lot, put in some miles for me and ride safe.

'Twas a nice day for a short ride today,
and all through the hill country, not enough OF's & W's were stirring, not even a Longhorn.
I in my leather and Mud and Mike with their cameras,
We had all settled in for a great hill country adventure.
Paul and Pam all snuggled together on their asphalt sleigh,
It was great to see all of them again on this particular day.
Visiting Lucken town and oogling the Mini's we were soon looking fowrard to 'fillin our bellies.
Headin' out through Fredricks town and west for some eats
We happend upon one little known place for some fantastic treats.
Cranky Frank's again was our BBQ of choice,
we got there just in time, as the 'lil place suddenly filled with people and noise.
A great meal and company we all had enjoyed,
making plans for some roadtrip, towards maybe the coast
Maybe next time for some great seafood and more forum members,
heck, maybe even plan an early start, so we can take our time.
Until then Old Farts and *******,
Throw away all those worries and workplace anchors,
plan for the weekend and further adventures.
Happy HarleyDays to all,
and many sunny days ahead.
Hey Pam,
Jo Ann said that she will be riding again soon...... and I didn't even tell her that I was putting the tour pak back on yet.
See ya'll again soon.

As always great to see ya"ll. Did a little loop out to Luckenbach with Paul & Pam. Picked up Bill & Mud in Luckenbach. Got to see quite a collection of Mini Coopers. Hit Cranky Frank's BBQ for lunch. It has been a good place for eat's. Will post a few pics up in the morning. Mud thanks for the pictures.... See ya'll on the next one.
