......rode last two weekends, never ran across any OF's & W's though.
This past Sunday, left Boerne about 10:30am, rode to Luckenbach, Fredricksburg, Kerrville, Centerpoint, Camp Verde, Bandera (ran into a friend of mine there so we had a late lunch), and the took off to, Medina, Vanderpool, Leakey, Utopia, Tarpley, back to Bandera and then back home to Boerne.
Actually, probably only saw maybe 10 other m/c's the entire ride!
It was a little windy and as long as you were in the sun, it was beautiful........when you dissappeared under the large trees overhanging the road and behind the steep walls along 337, the temp felt like it dropped about 10-15 degrees, other than that, beautiful ride.
We'll see what kind of weather this weekend brings.

Probably won't be able to ride the next weekend though (Sat for sure, we'll see about Sunday!) because our Daughter is getting married Saturday afternoon/evening.
I'll be watching the Forum to see what (and IF) anyone ios going to be doing Sunday.
See ya'll soon.

Not the Javelina ripoff, but the real Massacre put on by the Gypsies?

Yeah, but believe it or not.......I have never even been to the Massacre here in Boerne!
Been to a few other rallys (South Padre Island etc) but never even in my own 'hood.
Go figure.
Anyone going Saturday, chime in and I'll try to meet up with ya'll.
I'll be watching the forum, hope its going to be a decent weekend.

Can't make the Saturday outing, but I'll be out and about come Sunday.
Did a little ride' in around last Sunday before the Super Bowl. I'll be meeting up with the south A-Town crew next Saturday 19th for a Burger Ride to the Bracken Store Cafe Via River Road. It's looking like around 40 bikes so fare, should be a good time.
Well until then...........Cheer's from south Tejas!

Default Buying a sportster????

Hey guys,

Been looking around for a second bike totally different from the"big red machine". Don't want to sink a lot of money in her since I have all of retirement tied up in "red".

I have run across a 2007 50th Anniversary Limited Edition XL 50 Sportster in vivid black. The price is right at $5500 and the mileage is right at 625 mi. Just not sure if a guy my size will fit on that bike. Would probably chop it or something similar to just tool around on when I slip out by myself for a 3-4 hour ride with rides limited to the 150-200 mile range.

Anyone ever had a sporty, know much about them or have an opinion on one as a second bike?

I got a "77' sporty that is on loan to my nephew. I had it almost 25 years. I had it bored .040 over with cams and a S&S shorty G on it. It was fun for short runs. Quick & light thru the corners. Kinda miss it. But not to much. Was looking for another Iron Head to tinker with. They are cheap. Just cost as much as a big twin to work on them.
