San Antonio Area Riders

I need to get in some miles, but I may wimp out on Sunday. It looks like it will be too soggy for me. Saturday is out for me., but we'll see. I wll be attending the Memorial service for my boss. He sustained a life ending injury after being launched by the Bull he was riding, this past weekend. He and I have had several debates as to which of us was the most crazy. Me for riding bikes or him for riding Bulls.

I wish Cutting Edge Illusions was in the $2500 - $4000 range. With several months of planning and savings I might make that work but when they said they started at $4900 I cringed.
I had picked out the two paint jobs of theirs I liked and that is when I called them to discuss. Well, one of them was $8600 and the other was $9900. After nearly choking to death I told them thanks and I loved their work but I would have to look around. After hanging up I realized how much I like my bike just the way it is.

I found and talked to the guy (Raymond Garza) from Caliente and he said the guy he knew that did custom paint left San Antonio to work in Houston. He said that he knew a couple of guys who had their paint work done at Attitude Custom Paint in Pinellas Park, Florida. Ask for Scott.
That's a sweet looking race car, Bill!

I am planning to make a ride with you guys on Sunday, Mike. It's gonna be chilly, but I got my thermals ready to go. I am heading up to Blanco on Saturday to shoot pistols (CHL renewal coming up) and ride horses. If I take my bike, I will stay overnight in Johnson City, then meet you guys on the road. If I don't take the bike, I will try to meet you guys at the Exxon on Sunday morning.

Yeah, it was a good one.....but this was my best (and unfortunetly....last one)!
See that good looking guy in the gray shirt........yep, yours truly (after I had already lost 74 lbs).
The cars were fun, but doing that for 35 years was enough and it was time for a change.
Still got a little racing gas flowing through my veins though, maybe again someday.......... but on TWO wheels instead.
Now H-Man, who's the really CRAZY ONE!?
See ya'll, hopefully soon.

Yeah, that was me for sure....my brother used to drive my cars...no roll cage big enough for me then!
Like I said...... 6 months before that photo was taken, I was 74 lbs heavier.
I don't miss THAT either!!
If I get my work done, I do plan to ride Sunday.
We'll see how things go tomorrow.
See ya,
