Sunday 08/15 - anyone riding?
All You OF&W,
If anyone is planning a ride for Sunday I will join the group wherever they are riding.
If no one has plans to ride I will definitely be heading out somewhere though I haven't decided on a route yet. I normally like to ride between 250-300 miles to feel like I've been on a ride.
I will watch the board to see if anyone is riding and where and when to meet. If there isn't going to be a group ride anyone is more than welcome to join me. Just post if interested and I will come up with something with the starting and stopping points. If no one is avaliable to go I will catch all you OF&W on the next run.
Ride safe and watch out for the crazy cell phone cage drivers.

I don't know yet what I/we are doing this weekend. Probably staying close to the A/C . The oldest offspring wants me to look at her brakes, but so far her car is not available in the early hours.. seems we want our cake and eat it too. Just playing it by ear at this point. I'll keep an eye out on here to see what's cooking.

Just a heads up, I ran across some antique walnut and mahogany desks and tables and other furniture. Restoring these works of wood is a hobby I enjoy, I'm on the look out for a vintage barbers chair next to add to my man cave. I picked up and walnut serving tray table for $25, starting to restore it tonite. I was putting on the first application of stripe and found the date of 1944 on the top piece.

Good ride
All you OFW,
I missed everyone today but hope you all got out for a ride.
Left Bulverde about 6:45am while all the deer were still out feeding, Saw 10 just traveling the 2 1/2 miles getting out of my neighborhood,
Headed up 281 to Blanco then over to Luckenbach. Didn't stop as I didn't think I would find too many people in Luckenbach at 7:45am on a Sunday morning (except for maybe those left over from Saturday night who did not make it home).
Went to the Airport Cafe for breakfast and it was very good. Enjoyed watching the planes land and talking to the folks who just fly in on weekend mornings to eat and fly out. They have flying rides just like our group motorcycle rides.
I then rode 16 to Kerrvi, lle, 27 through Ingram to Mountain Home, 41 to 83 and 83 to Junction. Topped off the tank and rode 290 back to Johnson City and took 281 south to 1863 and home.
Covered about 265 miles, got home by 2:30, had a couple of Shiner Bocks then hit the pool for a cooling off swim. A really good day and sorry everyone was busy today and couldn't join me.
Have a good week and hope to catch some of you OFW riders next weekend.
