I posted a thread about us Phx guys entering Tucson turf (Mt. Lemon) and got quite a reaction from the Tucson crowd. It seems they want to join us for the Mt. Lemmon ride and I am all for that.

The dates of 10/11 or 10/12 have been mentioned. We could start with this ride plan and let the Tucson folks tweak it to show us their stuff.

10/12 a lot of us up here are doing the Phoenix Zoo poker run.

Otherwise, I like the idea.

We usually start heading south out of Phoenix when the weather cools off more.

 

If we can do it on Saturday, count me in.

Like Donna says, we have already obligated to the Zoo Ride poker run on Sunday.

 

I guess I would first like to see what the group down south is thinking. We get to ride down there and back in addition to riding up Mt. Lemmon. Will just going up Mt. Lemmon be enough for them? Do they want to tack something else on as well? Perhaps they want to ride back up north with us. This could even turn into an overniter I guess. Any comments from you guys in the south?

Was talking to Dean on the ZooRide. His brother is coming out from Florida in November and would like to do an overnight ride to the south while he's here - including Tombstone and probably Bisbee.

We'll put something together once we have more info.

Might involve three days and two nights if we avoid the freeways.

 

Joe, would you try to arrange this around my singing schedule?? It's posted on the calendar in the laundry room. I'm doing a few solos in November, and I can't skip it....and I want to go for the weekend!

 

I'm not sure how long Dale will be here. That will pretty much dictate when we go.

 

Obviously, when Dale is here will dictate the plans... but if he stays for 2 consecutive weekends, I'll be available for one of them. I sing on the 2nd and the 23rd, which leaves the 9th and the 16th open.

And, actually... I'm singing in 2 upcoming songs... but I'll have to find out if they are on these dates. If one of these is a song I don't solo in, I could probably skip it.

One way or another, I'll make this work... Gotta ride with the famous 1of2!!

 

Sorry Joe, I may have said November in error. Dale will be here in February 09. He will only be here for a few days or one week max due to work schedule. I am not sure what weekend but I think the weekend of the 6th or the 20th. I am trying to get him to commit to a date but it is still a bit early for that. I will let everyone know when I find out.
