The City of Rowlett is sponsoring a "Bike Night" in old downtown Rowlett, TX tonight (and every other Wednesday night).&nbsp\\; Think it kicks off around 630 pm or so at the Big Star Burgers place on Main St.&nbsp\\; No beer (damn)&nbsp\\;but a good place maybe to meet other riders around here.&nbsp\\;

 

WOW!&nbsp\\; I live there, but work in Houston Mon-Thurs.&nbsp\\; I'll have to shake free on eweek and check it out.

 

Did the rain die out before it got to Rowlett?
Rained hard here in Keller between 6:30 and 7, then didn't stop sprinkling until 9PM.

 

I tried to post earlier but guess it didnt work.&nbsp\\; Anyway, with the thunderstorm headed towards Rowlett from the northwest Im sure thats one reason the crowd was down to maybe 25 bikes or so.&nbsp\\; Got to give Big Star Burgers credit for putting this on, they gave away several $10 gift certificates which was nice.&nbsp\\; There was a dj playing music (too damn loud unfortunately) but all in all it was a good place to meet some folks that live on this side of town.&nbsp\\; Around 830 or so the rain started so that ended the event, Im hoping next time (the 13th) there&nbsp\\;are more riders there.&nbsp\\; Hey, its free and something to do on Wednesday night besides watching Bounty Hunter or whatever on tv.&nbsp\\; &nbsp\\; &nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;

 

Doing it again tonight (8/13), if you are in the area drop by. Nothin fancy, no booze but a good place to touch base with other local riders.
