If I were moving to Houston, 1st thing is location. You can live on one side of town and work on the other and still be 2hours away from work during rush hour. What are you passions Church? pick the church 1st and live close by, for riding...NW side, nice twisties and small hills, NE side pine trees and country roads, all along the SE, South and SW side salt water water fishing, beaches, and good roads. Friendly bikers everywhere, this is Texas!

I have two young boys, so priority number 1 is schools, I was hoping to stay west ( to save a bit of time on the drive back to San Antonio every once and a while) I have had suggestions for Pearland, Friendswood, Sugarland and the woodlands. I will be working downtown, but I want my wife to try and work as close to home as possible. she is a teacher.

Some one recommended Shadow Creek Ranch in Missouri City, But I just read the BFI is planning on expanding a landfill near there.

Memorial area between Blalock and Eldridge, South of I-10 and North of the bayou. Great area!! Spring Branch ISD!! Some great communities and neighborhoods!! Easy access to anywhere!! Great medical facilities, shopping and restaurants closeby.

I live in on NW side with the same priorities, including a school teacher wife. Try the Spring/Champions/Tomball areas. Cyfair and Klein are relatively good school districts too.
