The Hog Pit in Midland. The ribs are outstanding, the beer is cold, and is biker friendly. Locatedwest ofMidland between I-20and Business Loop 20 (old hwy 80).

What about the Country Tavern near Kilgore in East Texas. Best ribs in this half of the state. Cold beer, hot waitresses, pool tables, juke box, dance floor, etc etc etc.....

I've tried most of them. Cooper's in Llano is the most famous, but the last few times, the brisket had too much gristle and fat. The beans , pickels, and chicken is best. Smitty's in Lockhart keeps their sauce in small, fast food size containers and keep them in the refrigerator! Just what I want-cold sauce on hot meat. The brisket was also too dry. My favorite is the Saltlick in Driftwood. It's what all should be measured by. Opie's in Spicewood is a close second.

Default Bypass I10 thru Houston

Good morning,

Best route to bypass I-10 thru Houston from San Antonio: Plan on taking hwy 6 to Galveston, Boliver Ferry, then roads to Winnie to I10 thru Orange.

Going to Lake Charles over Easter.

Your advise would be greatlyappreciated.
