New Years Day Ride on Apache Trail
Hey all, the temp outside is 75 here near the Apache Trail (near Apache Junction, Arizona) today. Every year the motorcycle community starts the year off right by a ride down the Apache Trail to Tortilla Flat. The amount of bikes has increased over the last few years, and of course, all have had a great time. The weather and scenery are great, so, come on down. I'll see you there, I'll be riding my white pearl Road King. Happy New Year.

RE: New Years Day Ride on Apache Trail
Hi Steve,
This ride has always been a start whatever time you want and arrive when you want. I usually start from the Apache Junction sign on Arizona Route 88 at about 10 a.m., ride the 21-mile paved portion with over 200-curves and turns (passing Tortilla Flat, then make a "U" and stay awhile at Tortill Flat. All sorts of bikes show up-all nice people. Sometimes they have a band playing (usually country music) at noon. You'll even be able to purchase a prickly-pear cactus ice cream; truly good. Have a great New Year, and if you can make it, look for me. - - John
