My wife and I are looking for peopleto do the Lone Star Rally with that are not staying at a hotel.We live in Sugar Land, TX ( 50 miles away) and just plan on hanging out and driving back each day. It will probably be tough getting in/off the island I would think?? But, we live so close and don't want to stay in a hotel.

I just got your PM on the meet & greet. Getting on & off the island is no big deal. I have not had the pleasure of meeting you so I don't know what your feelings are on alcohol. BUT, if you're planning on commuting back & forth from Sugar Land & Galveston, please make damned sure you take it easy on the drinking. The Rally weekend really brings out the cops.

 

Good point! I will have to give it some thought. Luckily, I was able to reserve a room in Texas City on Nov. 3rd, if I decide to stay around the area.
