2005 Roar by the Shore - South Padre
Well, I am back home.... tough weekend... gotta give up the beer, or the tequila or the wine or ****, I don't know, but whew... it was a blast.
First off I would like to apologize to the several members of HDF who we were going to meet up with, but some dumb@ss dropped his cell phone out of his pants pocket and it felt like I did the next morning... hammered.
Below is a link to a brief writeup on the Bikefest and this year we definitely went over the 20,000 number so it is still a small rally, but a blast.
CLICK HERE FOR SPI BIKEFEST STORY
The small tourist town of Progress in Mexico opens up for all the bikers and basically shuts down its main street to only bikers and everyone has fun. The band 'Hotel California' (Eagles tribute band - they were actually OK) opened up for '38 Special' Saturday night and on Friday evening Bubba Blackwell did a small jump and some trick riding on the Padre Blvd / Hwy 100 and said he would come back next year to set a new world record.... I was still impressed when he hopped on a 'stock' Stage 1 - 2006 Dyna Wide Glide and proceeded to do some feet on the pegs donuts and some long @ss wheelies in 2nd and 3rd gear... Gotta stop now, head still hurting, need aspirin, need sleep...

Craig,
It was a good rally, but I did not make the Mexico Run this year, but will definitely make it next year!!
One of the couples staying with us are from the Boerne chapter and brought us some nice Javelina T-shirts. (Joe and Mary)
One 'bad' thing is that some folks came down from Colorado / Utah area where it has been nice and brisk and thought that the upper 80's lower 90's was extreme and boy did they b!tch about that...
Pictures... well, I have been asked not to post some specific ones due to some 'issues' and need to sort through them. I wish folks would get their personal lives in order, if you know what I mean.
