I am planning a Saddle Sore 1000 run in November.

Plan so far is Austin to LA for the ride itself, leave on Thursday get to the LA and a hotel room Friday some time get some rest.
Then Saturday catch a show at the Whisky A Go Go, or party on Sunset Blvd. then start workin my way back, that part of the ride is still open. Total time for the trip is 10 days so with the first 24hrs gettin the ride out of the way I may head up to Seattle on the 101.

I have started gettin the paper work together so far it looks like it will be a solo ride, I haven't had any takers on the offer to join me.

Make your route through Las Vegas and turn it into a Butt Burner 1500. I'd love to do that with you, but my wife would have to go and ..... well you know.....

My club, the Wild Pelicans, is all about endurance riding.

Check out our website for more info. If you're in Texas, contact me and maybe we can set something up that will work for both of us.

I wanted to go for the Bun Burner Gold 1500 in 24hrs, but I have not done a 1000 mile ride yet and from what I read on the IB site I have to do a 1000 in 24 first. What sux about that is that the 1500 in 24 used to be one of the original Iron Butt rides they did not give certificates for a 1000mi ride. I even had the town and route, San Luis Obispo was like 1738mi.
