I've been struggling to find a group to ride with in the area. The one dude I usually ride with has been flaking out a lot lately and am just looking for fellow harley/cruiser enthusiasts to cruise with...

I ride by myself or with one or two friends once in awhile so I can't really tell you about specific groups. That said, I do know a lot of people/groups that use Meetup. I did a quick Google search and found the following. Good luck finding riding partners.

As far as riding in MD, I may occasionally but, need to plan it because I am always carrying...

 

I love riding that area. The 55 is my standby when I only have a few hours.

 

was your picture taken on the 211 leaving Skyline drive?

I took that route today for the first time, absolutely gorgeous area... took 66 west to exit 13, route 55 then took skyline drive to 211 and back up to front royal... BEAUTIFUL ride, taking the wife next time I go...

we definitely need to schedule something to go that way...

 

It was taken on the 211 just last week, but headed north. I did your run in reverse. That road is a little more fun going uphill. Especially on a few of those tight ones.
