This weekend my sister in law told me of an annual rally that is in Hot Springs Ark. She also said that it was suppossed to be the last year for it because of complaints from the locals. She did not know the date of the rally. Can anyone elaborate on this for me?

Thanks so much for the link! I was begining to think this rally didn't exist. Looks like I missed this years but I'll mark it on my 06' calender. Thanks again...

not only does this rally exist but for the last three years it has been the largest Hog Rally in the country and the 2004 Rally was the largest State HOG rally ever, now as for the locals not wanting or complaining about the rally that it just pure BS, the fact is the rally promoters are seeing the size of the rally growing and are now promoting a deal with the city of Hot Springs to hold a State Bike Rally instead of the HOG Rally in September , the promoters somehow brokered a deal with the city to exclude any bike rallys for 60 days before and after the rally. They are now trying to capitilize on all the interest and money that goes with the rally, that said it will still be a great rally because of the city of hot springs and the beautiful riding and weather we have here, the rally will be in the middle of September for 2006, the state hog rally has been moved to Ft. Smith at the end of june or July .

 

I WENT TO THE HOG RALLY IN JUNE AND IT WAS GREAT! THE WAL-MART,WAFFEL HOUSE, AND MANY OTHER STORES EVEN HAD ROPED OFF PARKING FOR TWO WEELERS, SOME EVEN HAD COVERED BIKE PARKING. THE CITY OF HOT SPRINGS MADE THE WIFE AND I FEEL RIGHT AT HOME!
