Okay guys, here it is again. April 7th which is on a Saturday, is our date for a meet and greet. NO EXCUSES!!

Instead of one person in charge of everything, let's get more people involved. Here is what I am thinking about....

Amy - You can be in charge of getting the word out andmaking people on here show up. Something tells me you can make grown men show up wherever you will be.

Yoman - Since you know of several areas that are nice to ride, you can be in charge of picking, planning, and executing a ride for everyone.

Hogtie - I(TBone) will ask several campgrounds that I know if they could let us show up for the day. If I can get a place to show up, how hard would it be to get some entertainment? Let me know.

TBone - I will go to Tilley's and see if they want to participate and find a location for us to "hang out" I am thinking somehere close to Statesville since it is close to everything..mountains, two interstates, lots of hotels and campgrounds.

BlownAlcohol - Please get a date confirmed that would be good for everyone. I picked the 7th because most people have off that weekend. This might not be a good date though. So, everyone get with Blown to pick a date.


If anyone else wants to add something, participate, etc. etc. let me know. After several small get-togethers, it is obvious we all want to do this.. We need a way to get food, drinks etc. but first, let me see if we can get a campground. THIS can happen. WE all can meet at my house for all that matters. Any questions please ask or post on the forum.

Sounds good to me Tbone.Mark and I were just talking about this yesterday. It's not hard to do if everyone helps out and pulls together any or all resources that we have. It's time to pull out all those favors and call up anybody you know that can help.

Let me know what I can do.

 

I'm with ya brother. But this is just not for the NC guys, anyone who wants to come is invited. Just let me know what ya need and I'll help with whatever. I'll plan several rides and we can pick. LET'S DO THIS!

I will be changing jobs in the next few weeks, but I should be off weekends.

I think he meant a "day rally" actually.
No matter what it's called I am looking forward to it.

As for as rallys go though I would like to see a weekend one myself. Maybe meet at Deals Gap, or even at the Mtn. somwhere, that way maybe people from other states will come as well. I guess this will be on the next to dolist.

 

UPDATE:

I talked to a campground and they said they would give us a special price to stay there. It would depend on how many would show up.

I talked to Tilley's and they said we could use their parking lot for a meet and greet.

I guess we now need to decide if we want to just keep it to HDFORUM people or try to get a full blown rally. Either way I am okay as long as there is a wet t-shirt contest.

Let's post on here with what he or she or he/she would like to do..
