Virginia south of DC, Dumfries area
ANyone live in this area? What can you tell about the area? taxes? living expenses? gun laws? scooter laws?
Im looking at taking a position in this area and would like to know a little more. Ridden through and driven through but not spent a ton of time in that area. Been on the west side of the state a ton.

dVA is a commonwealth. Taxes are hefty. Prince William is a different county than mine.
Im not sure what their rate is, but in Fairfax County (neighbor) it is Value of Car/100 * $4. Its 4 and some change dont remember. If you are a disabled veteran or a senior citizen you do get a tax relief which helps a lot.
Luray and Shenendoah is 45 min away from ur area great ride on Skyline Drive.
Concealed carry permit has a lot of reciprocity with other states. So far VA is Pro gun...but I used to say VA was a republican state. In general cost of living in this area is pretty high. Dumfries isn't as bad the real estate there is generally lower than it is closer to D.C.
