Mike, you need to listen to Keith, I ride EVERY DAY
even last Thursday in the snow, sleet, ice and rain
storm I rode. Today is a wonderful day for a ride
and yes I rode to work!
Remember one thing my friend, I was born and raised
in Canada. I rode as much as 100,000 miles a year in
Canada which is a bunch of miles considering 5 months
is WINTER! I rode to work every day all year round, even
at 45 below zero and having to use a Coleman stove
under the engine to warm the oil enough to start the
engine. Once at work I would park my motorcycle inside
the warm shop all day so it would start to go home at
night! I used chains wraped around the tires and wheels
through the spokes for traction on the ice and snow on
the roads!
Anything we get down here is a cake walk compared to
Canada....LOL"

I got a really good laugh from your experience chuck..45 below, I never thought about riding in that much less 30 degree. Maybe if my wife will join me at 30 degrees I`ll ride this weekend. Let me ask her LMAO. Ever get any stares while riding down the road? I`m guessing you have not been around NC long, because when it snows in NC, the highway on amotorcycleis the last place I wanna be.LOL...Be careful out theremy friend. Ride on...

Lots of people stare at you sitting at a traffic light in
rush hour traffic at 45 below zero with 6 inchs of ice
on the road and snow blowing all around you on your
motorcycle! LOL"
I never could figure out what they were staring at,
because they never give a second look to guys riding
snowmobiles in the same weather!
10 years in SC./NC. and I know what you mean about
drivers here!!!!!!
if your wife will ride at 30 degrees or less like my wife
will, we need to hook up for a ride! LOL"

On what we call short day rides we ride 400 miles, we
call an average day ride between 500 & 700 miles and
we call 1,000+ mile day rides long day rides!
We ride to Maggie Valley for breakfast on a Saturday
morning sometimes when we have other things we
need to do down here on Saturday afternoon, that is
a 450+ mile round trip in the morning. We leave
about 3AM and back around noon/1PM.
Look at the bright side of not getting to ride much, you
don't have to mount up 6+ sets of tires a year,do countless
oil changes, replace a bunch of wear parts and buy all the
gas I do every year.......LOL"
