Default Hanna Park - Jacksonville, Fl

Anyone ever camped there? If so, how was it?

Was thinking about heading down there in a few weeks.

Never been there but it could be cool to cold there at that time of the year, especially overnight.

It is a city park, it seemed a little small, I haven't been in a few years, I usually do the Fl. State parks. But can't beat the location.
If you go check out the Mayport Ferry, $3 to get across the St. John's river.

Live here in Jacksonville and have camped there numerous time. The park is clean and very shaded. Depending on what you will be camping in the weather this time of year in northeast Florida is like a crap-shoot. Beautiful high in the mid to upper 70s low in the upper 50s and next day a damn nor'easter blows in and highs can drop to 40's with freezing temps. The park is next to Mayport Naval base and traffic in the morning and late afternoon can be thick but once you are in the park it is peace and quite. If you are bringing your bike take the ferry across to A1A and ride north along the coast. Nice riding weather this time of year.

Try the Crazy Flamingo or the Marco Brewery in the Marco Island town center, or check out Stan's in Goodland-be prepared to park a mile away on the weekends. 5th Avenue in Naples is high end-wear a tux and tails or be shunned. Have fun and ride safe.
