I don't see many people from this area posting on here so in an attempt do draw you out, I'm posting pics from my ride today. I headed on 178 out of Pickens, up through Rosman, NC making my way to 215. Once I reached the BRP on 215, I took the BRP west to HWY 74 and dropped down into Waynesville. If you are in Waynesville and want a decent lunch, I can recommend Bogart's. After lunch I took 276 out of Waynesville, made a right back onto 215 to get back to the BRP which I then followed east to connect to 276 again. Came through Brevard on 276, then over Cesar's head back to the house in Greenville.
There was some snow in the grass on the BRP as well as 215 north of the BRP. 215 from HWY 64 up to the BRP has been repaved which is great but watchout for the gravel that gets kicked onto the road by people hauling trailers. Gravel was poured on either side of the new pavement, which I'm sure there is a reason, but all it does for me is makes some of the corners interesting.
215 going North from BRP to 276 is in poor shape in terms of smoothness. There aren't too many pot holes but there are a considerable number of dips and uneveness b/w both sides of the same lane. I probably won't get on that again for awhile but the scenery is awesome after you get past the farms and other houses.
I only stopped on the BRP to take pics since my main purpose was to ride. I covered 225 miles in about 6 hours including a lunch. That is good time in the twisties.
First stop on the BRP

Thats a great ride. Not a bad road in the bunch. I like 215 better than 276 because it is less traveled. I have not been on it with the Street Bob but have ridden it many times on Dual Sports and Adventure bikes. They eat bad pavement for lunch. I didn't know so many roads were rough until I got the SB. There are also many miles of unpaved county and FS roads I have ridden in that area too.
Where is Bogartt's located? Some other good places to eat are Big Mountain BBQ just about 2 miles from Ghost Town HD(highly reccomended). Double Dragon, Fish Camp, & I can't remember the name of the BBQ place all located at 64 & 276 in Brevard.
