NC Ride & Stay
A little help from some locals or someone that's been there...
Planning on meeting a friend from Atlanta somewhere in NC (about half-way between the two of us) for a weekend of riding and hanging out at the beach. Probably wouldn't be until mid-September.
The last time I was anywhere near the area I think I was drunk in a tour bus...so any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
Maybe somewhere up around Elizabeth City???? Better idea?????

Anywhere along the blue ridge parkway would be a good starting place, but why not meet in Robbinsville? The skyway, the dragon, & hells 28 are all within minutes. If you never rode anywhere else you'd be happy, but you could jump on the parkway in VA and ride almost the entire NC segment as well.

Riding in the eastern half of NC, is flat, and boring.... but I suppose it depends on what you like. You can spend a day or two visiting the various lighthouses. Checking the historical sites... or sitting on the sand, drinking. Lots of things to do.
This might be a good place to start http://www.visitnc.com/

If either one of you comes through Dahlonega or near here, please PM me if you wouldn't mind someone tagging along. All my riding buddies are either gone for school or work, and I'm bored on the weekends and would love to have someone to ride with. Riding alone is nowhere near as fun alone, as I'm sure y'all know.
