Default Asheville Biker Bars

I posed this in the Road Trip section but didn't get many responses. The wife and I are planning a little road trip to Asheville this weekend and I'm looking for suggestions for biker bars and biker friendly hotels in or near Asheville, NC. We will arrive Saturday afternoon, 7/3.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Where you from? I live in Johnson City, TN (about 45 minutes north on 26 from Asheville). I haven't spent a lot of time in Asheville however, there is some very cool areas near Asheville that you may be interested in. Have you ever heard of or been to the Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area? It is just outside of Asheville (10 miles or so) and a great ride and/or spot to stay that is very biker friendly. Look it up and ask me if you have any questions. That part of the country is awesome!

...oh, and their is a bar (with hotel) in Chimney Rock called the Tiki Bar (don't know if that is what the hotel is called too) and they are biker friendly. Cool place with a swimming pool and stream. Very chill and it can get a little rowdy on the weekends (in a good way ). Hope I helped.

We live in Chattanooga and this is great information, just what I was looking for. We may change our plans for this. We were going to Black Mountain and planned on checking out the Shovelhead Saloon but when I called them to see what was going on this weekend it almost sounded like I woke them up. We like a bar that can get a little roudy now and then.

Tiki bar is a great place, we actually got married there couple years ago. Might want to try and get a reservation though they fill up quick. The roads that lead to it ain't nothin to mess with after dark. lots of hairpin turns and deer. there great during the day though!

Default Moto Vicious Bike bar Asheville NC

Old thread, new bar. Moto Vicious is a bike shop by day, and now a beer bar at night. In downtown Asheville behind the Orange Peel, it has the best bike vibe in the county. Hot bikes, cold beer, MOTO VICIOUS
