Hey...

Heading up to Tellico Plains,Tn. this April to ride the Skyway and Dragon. Can someone direct me to some good places to eat(breakfast, lunch and dinner).

 

There's a place as you exit Tellico on the way to the Skyway on the left. It used to be a little BBQ shack called something like "Cardiffs" (??) I think. It has now grown into a big place and full restaurant. The last time I ate there it was pretty good. Obviously nothing on the Skyway itself, but if you find yourself on the Robbinsville side at mealtime there are a couple of places. As you enter Robbinsville on 129 from the Gap you'll see signs on the right for Phillips Motel. As I recall you turn right at the Exxon. Next to Phillips Motel is Phillips Restaurant. Nothing fancy, but a good 'ol Southern meat and three place. If you get out on 74 heading towards Bryson City, there are lots of good places.
