I was thinking about making the ride up there for the fall show in October.....Just wondering if anybody had before and how it was. I've been for the rod runs a few times, just wondering if they are anything alike and if they have a decent turn out.

 

It is in Fontana Dam Village , NC - never been there for bike week, but you can't go wrong with that area. Some of the best riding in the Country.

 

I think this is the 1st year for ralleys in PF , according to there website I believe they are trying to cash in on the MB fiasco!

Thanks for thr responses. I saw those websites, but they didnt offer up much information. Guess we'll give it a shot. Atleast it'll be a nice ride up there.

 

If it were me I woudl AVOID Pigeon Forge like the PLAGUE...I live in Knoxville and during this time of the year (year round almost now) the traffic in Pigeon Forge is horrible....FOntana would be the place to go to avoid the traffic and still ride the same roads!! The dragon right there at Fontana, Cherohala is about 45 minutes from there, all the same roads just ot the tourist traffic nightmare that is Pigeon Forge...just my 2 cents worth...

I live in the area too, and second Joe's comments. If I'm going there I try and do it early in the morning or not at all.
