I did the same ride a few years ago. Rented in Miami. We overnighted in Isle Maurada(sp?) Man what a great trip. On the ride back the temps dropped from a noreaster. 40 mph winds and 50 degrees. After the 85 degree days it may as well been 30 below! We piled on all the tee shirts we bought on Duvall street and froze on the way to Miami! My buddy put paper towel in his ears cause the wind hurt. A week later he went to the doctor for dizzy spells. The doctor pulled the paper out that he forgot he put there! Ha. GREAT memeries. great advice from these guys. Have fun.

The wife and i stayed at the Southern most point guest house for a week last year and will be going back. They are nice people and the rooms are cool. Off street parking. Close to the action yet very quiet. Owners husband rides. Not new but very nice. If you can get the room in the back you can park your bike very close to the room away from cars and foot traffic.

Unless it's for a specific type of food your after, I would suggest getting cold cuts and salads and etc. from Publix to save more then a a few bucks, you can make your own portions. It is very expensive to live and work down there. There are some word of mouth great places to eat. If your into fishing and drinking, it's 'the' place to be. Remember the 1986 movie "Running Scared" with Billy Crystal and Gregroy Hines?
