Default Myrtle Beach Spring 09

The reason I picked the spring rally is to give everyone a chance to organize. The biker community should teach Myrtle Beach a lesson at Spring 09. Boycott all of the city of MB. When you go to the rally just visit motels, campgrounds, resturaunts, vendors and events outside of Myrtle Beach. There is enough going on in North Myrtle Beach and Murrels Inlet to name a couple of places, that we really do not need to go to Myrtle. As we know alot of the motels and stores depend on the two week rally to stay in business, but it seems they are doing nothing to protect the bike week. So, lets teach them to speak up. When the surrounding towns receive extra millions and Myrtle Beach receive only a few hundred thousand it will wake them up. We need to take action instead of just crying in our beer.

+1 on the Boycott. Oh and the few hundred thousand "notta". Pretend its a ghost town and pass thru.

I'm going to the fall rally, unfortunately already booked my room in city limits. For the spring '09 rally, I'll migrate alittle south to Murrells Inlet. Count me in on your action to count out MB.

i think this is a good idea, but I don't think you can boycott someone when they're telling you they don't want you. I'm just not going to go at all, regardless of the outcome.

My area HD Dealers are working on moving the MB rally to the Morehead City area. It's better to find another place entirely than MB. I usually stay in NMB and go to the areas from Barefoot's Landing back to NMB. Use the 31 By-Pass to move around MB to Murrells Inlet. Besides, the HD dealer on 17 (NMB) never offers discounts anyway, so no need to visit that dealer. I boycotted the Fall 08 rally. Oh! the mayor of MB said that the "Golfers" will support MB enough so as not to worry about a bunch of 'noisy bikers'. Remember, if you have to pass through MB, there are helmet and noise laws. It's your money, spend it how you want.

The dealers are the ones who should really be pushing for a move. After all, it's their rally. Did you know that?
