Myrtle Beach Spring 09
#11
Well, I grew up about 30 minutes outside Myrtle so since I have a free place to stay there I'll be going. It is a shame though. I waited tables there all through college and I could not wait until Bike week came every year! The city is punishing all rather than "Man"ing up and taking care of the few problems they really have.

Daytona Beach is trying to do the same. The cops are hammering drunk riders, speeders, fighters, 1%ers who cause trouble, etc. I don't blame the city, I blame the a--holes who ruin it for the rest of us. Worse, it hurts the local businesses who rely upon those two weeks to make it into the black for the year.

When the fun is replaced by the new laws, one bike per parking space, no more free parking, helmet laws. load muffler laws ect. ect. why bother? Regardless of the reason the city council has a hard on for bikers and the citizens aren't doing anything about it So if they don't want me I'll go somewhere else. and take my money with me.

Screw em! I am going and I'll stay south or north of MB. Its the bikes and people that go--not the city council. I'll throttle down in the limits, put a helmet on if I have to, but the camaraderie, sights, and good times won't end. THere is so much to do around the area. It is 139 days until I leave!
