Default NC Outter banks

The wife and I are planning a little get away to the outter banks in June. Can anyone suggest any must see sights and places to stay while we are out there? We are leaving Wed June 11th and coming back the 16th. TIA

Two places I can suggest are the Cape Hatteras lighthouse and in Kill Devils Hills, the Jockey Ridge sand dune.

and while you are at Hatteras, might as well get on the Ferry to Ocracoke Island, some history to see, fishing village and the 3/4 Time Bar and the nude beach, and some great surf fishing.

I am not sure what type of hotel you would like to stay at. But Barry's is a cool bar and hotel on the sound in Grandy. He makes everyone feel welcome. Live in the area never stayed at motel. Years ago was a ducking hunting lodge. I know it will be the cheapest place to stay in the outer banks. Here is the link:

Thanks for that link Hdguner, I'll have to check that place out when I'm down there this weekend for Bike Week.

You could start early one day and go up to Corolla and take your own lighthouse tour. Lots of shops and things to see up there and as you ride down. Make your way down through Hatteras and over the ferry to Ocracoake. Plan to eat in Ocracoake. Some nice places there to sit outside and eat good, fresh seafood for lunch or dinner. If you come in on the south end, stop at the visitor's center and get some brochures of things to see and do.
