Default Myrtle Beach - best driving route from Northeast?

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for the best driving route from the Northeast (Massachusetts) down to Myrtle Beach. We kind of want to avoid 95 through New York. Also - anyone with any experience riding the Garden State Parkway?

Perch,
I am going and have gone using the following route from South Jersey.
New Jersey Turnpike into Delaware. Pick up Route 1 south to Route 13 south. Take 13 south through DE, MD, VA and cross the
Bay Bridge Tunnel. In Norfolk pick up 17 and it is a straight shot down 17 to MB. Great double lane roads each direction for most of the way. You will go through a small town every so often but much better than using 95 all the way down. As far as the Parkway you could take that to the Cape May Lewis Ferry and go across to DE and pick up 13. On the southern end the parkway is much better than the Turnpike. I would imagine up north the parkway is a nightmare. Good luck on your trip.

Never been to MB before, but three of us are going this year. we're taking I-84 to I-81 to I-64. Pick up I-95 @ Richmond, VA Taking 95 to Rt 74 to 410 to 701 to 9to 17 toMB. Not as direct, but I-95 sucks on 4 wheels, never mind 2. Hope this helps.
