I live and work in Pigeon Forge. If you need any info while in the area give me a scream. More roads to ride here than you'll have time to ride. Enjoy your trip.

Probably already know this... Take along your cold weather riding gear. We were there last memorial day and the evening temps were in the high 40,s and that was late May.

Cades Cove does not turn to gravel, do it on a week day if you can. It gets really crowded on weekends. You have got to do the Cherohala skyway, best road in the area IMO.

If you are staying in Maryville cruise down Hwy 411 till you get to Vonore look for Hwy 360...It is a great back road to get you to Cherohala Skyway...Beats going through Madisonville on 411(411 is a 4 lane highway, BORING) Also, like mentioned above get you a Mad Map of the area....Way to many roads to list here as good rides...They all are great!!!!

Stay away from Pigeon Forge adn Gatlinburg as they are traffic nightmares and nothing but tourist traps!!! If you get up in that area though check out Hwy 339..>Very rural area and a great ride will take you all the way to Cosby, TN

Don't forget to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway and all the others in the area... Enjoy your stay!!!
+1 on 360 to Cherohala. Dragon is a blast.

Just got back from Western NC a few days ago. There is a brand new motorcycle only campground being built in TN 3 miles west of the NC line on 64. The place is called "Riders Resort", the owners are trying to get it open by late spring or early summer.

I was there last year and stayed in pigeon forge. There is a great HD dealership in Maryville. Go in there and spend $9 on an area map there. It shows dozens of rides around the area. Thats what i did and it worked out great. Also ask some of the people working in there - they were very helpful in helping me find great riding routes. Enjoy. Rich from Boone NC.

You are staying at a great place. If you are going to be here on a Saturday, the Harley dealer in Maryville has good food on Saturdays when the spring and summer shed events get going. We tried the new Dragon Pit restaurant on U.S.411 near the intersection of 129 two weeks ago and it wasn't up to our expectations. Too much money and skimpy servings. Also, avoid Eastside Steakhouse in Sevierville. Worst place we've ever been to. If you are near Etowah, the Farm House Restaurant is excellent. Tellico Plains has a sort of "biker restaurant" called Cherohala Crossing that has BBQ and beer and a couple of girls waiting tables that usually have ample cleavage exposed. And the food is good. Just down the road is Tellico Beach Drive-In restaurant on the river which has outstanding milkshakes. The A&W restaurant in Madisonville is another place we like. We usually sit on the stools right outside and watch the ants march along the window sill inside the restaurant. They are always there. This A&W looks like it dates back to the fifties. I hope you enjoy your trip here.
