Default OBX Bike Week

I want to go to the OBX Bike Week this year. However, I'm having a hard time finding any info from people who have been. I understand last year the State Rally was going on at the same time. Has anyone been to the Bike Week? What should I expect when i go? What area are most of the events?

I went for a day last year. Weather was awful unfortunately - cloudy and colder than forecast all day and some light drizzle on and off. But, that's the way it is therethat time of year, unpredictable. This year, it could be 80's and sunny every day or 50's to 60's and not so great.

I'm not sure it has been updated for 08 yet, but you can go to www.harleybay.com and click the link for outer banks bike week for more info. Yes, the state rally was at the same time last year but that's probably the only time that will happen. The bike week should grow every year and keep in mind it just started a few years ago. It's no myrtle beach but there are some nice places to ride to and see.

I went last year and it was ok. I thought everything was too spread out and there wasn't a whole lot of vendors. I did have fun over at the Vertigo Tattoo place.
I'm still gonna go this year though as like 2007fxdc said, there are some nice places to ride and it should get a little bigger and better each year (hopefully).

Smoke,
I went last year after attending the Myrtle Beach Fall rally and was disappointed. Although OBX is a great place to ride I found the venders (there were not much) were spread out and unorganized. Like the others have said each year will probably bring more bikers. If you are looking for venders and night life I did not have much luck with either.

Been to OBX bike week several times, bigger and better every year. Its a great place to ride and will continue to grow each and every year. You won't be dissappointed. The hotel rates are lower because its off-season on The Banks. I plan on heading back again this year.
