I'm planning a camping trip to Myrtle and will take my travel trailer. That means I can't ride my bike and have no way to tow it. I'm not buying a new RV to get "toy hauling" capabilities and I'm not planning to fork out a bunch of money for a fancy ramp or loading mechanism that I will rarely use. I've already heard and seen those options so don't bother replying with those, please. I'm fairly sure I can remove the tailgate from my pickup and safely load and secure my bike (dyna) in the bed of the truck. I have a decent hill and an ATV ramp that I can use for that and I'm comfortable with it. What I'm hoping to find is a known location in the MB area that I can take the truck to after unhitching my trailer and safely and easily unload the bike and reload it when the time comes. A friend of mine told me abouta hill there that he's seen people using for that but I'd prefer not to trespass on someone's property or impede traffic if at all possible. Anyone know of such a place?

 

I would suggest you go to HD of MB. I am sure they have a ramp.

I have used a loading dock at several places in Daytona. Never had a problem, MB might be different. One thing I have found is that most larger U-Haul depots have a concrete ramp in the parking lot. Again not sure about MB but in Daytona it is right on International drive and publically available. Do a google search and check with them in MB

Can you possibly be more specific? There are lots of mini golfs and gas stations up and down 17. Or are you saying the beach road (Ocean Blvd.) and 17?

 

Ocean Lakes Campground has an unloading ramp.

 

yep ocean blvd across from the airport rd. south of M.B.H.D. at the light make a right go around the curve on the left

 

Drive an hour South on 17 and I'll unload it.
