I wash mine before I leave and a day or so after I get back. I have had bikes washed at the bike washes down there but they only do a so-so job cleaning it and don't dry it very good...so other than just seeing eye candy I don't use them much.

Just to clarify a little here. I don't actually "wash" my bike while I'm down there. I usually spend about 15 minutes with some quick detailer and some rags and she looks as good as ever. It's kind of a ritual I like to do every morning before I start riding for the day. Weird?? Probably but it's what I do... I just don't like riding a dirty bike around. Now if I get rained on...she's definitely getting a bath.
Anyway, I'll have plenty of stuff for a quick wipe-down if anybody is interested.

You guys can "quick detail" at the beach all you want, but not me. The bike sits around all day and night basically in the sand and then you go wiping on it.....Nothing but scratches are bound to be the result.....I have buddies that do the same ritual every morning. Their bikes look like crap in "the right light".
Sure, I said I carry some quick detailer. However, I only use it to get the water spots off right after a wash.
