Hey all, let's hear from Everyone out there in the hills of Western NC.
Looked on the Forum and didn't find a Roll Call for this area. Who is from Hickory, Boone, Morganton, Asheville, Cherokee, Murphy, etc.? We are also looking for groups that want to go on some rides or do some meetups.

Where are you at?
What are you riding?
What is your favorite road?
What is your favorite stop?

We are moving from the Phoenix Metro area to Morganton/Burke Co North Carolina (May 2023). While Phoenix is a great area, (and can't beat the weather), it doesn't have the same comradery that the more rural communities have, so we are moving. We have ridden our 2017 Road King up one side of Colorado and down the other. In 2021 we rode eastern TN/Western NC. Summer 2023 we are taking a trip up to Sturgis (non-rally time), Deadwood, Mt Rushmore, Devils Tower, etc., before we bring the bike back from AZ to NC. Our favorite road so far is a toss up between the Million Dollar Highway (CO) and Blue Ridge Parkway (NC). BUT, our best place to stop is the Roadhouse in Cave Creek AZ during AZ Bike Week. Just bar food and a cold beer, but the atmosphere is the best.

Thanks Rob, I see some events on the calendar in Hickory or Asheville, and we plan to head east to the coast a lot, so maybe we will cross paths.

We are in the Piedmont Triad area, and one hour south of the BRP. We love the BRP and spend a lot of time riding it and surrounding areas. I’ve lived in NC for for 36 years now and love every inch from Murphy to Manteo. You’ll have plenty of new Riding experiences ahead.

Welcome to the area. I'm in Hudson, about half an hour south of the BRP. Lots of great places to ride, pretty much the main reason I moved here from the Ft Bragg area years ago. Lots of great riding other than the parkway, I'm sure you'll have fun exploring the area.

I'm in Western Piedmont near Hickory, NC. I ride those twisty roads in the Western part of the state all the time. I'm lucky to live in such a great area for riding.
