Western North Carolina Roll Call

Oh man, there are so many. A couple that stand out is hwy 28 from Franklin up to Highlands back to Brevard. Beautiful ride, rock cliffs on one side and waterfalls on the other. Another is from Weaverville, through Marshall, down by the river on to Greeneville, TN. Then down through Newport to Hot Springs. Crosses over a beautiful lake and a stop at Barbrosa's (biker bar down by the river). Man, i could go on for hours about some rides. Usually always back roads. I have found the best things to be discovered are usually off the beaten path.

I was certain the store was gone and wondered how or why you'd claim to have been there recently. I was by there today, twice in fact just to be sure. They moved the (old) road about 75 yards north and it'd been so long, I was thinking the Post Office was on the other side of the intersection from the store. Clearly I was mistaken and yes, the store is still there.
I has been 23 years since I lived near there so again, my apologies .

No apologies necessary. .
I was thinking after I read your post that you were thinking of another Boomer. Heck I’ m so new to NC I have much to learn about this great state!
Plus my photoshopping skills are virtually non existent.

I owe you an apology Fatboy.

Well, technically I don’t live in WNC, but I do spend a lot of time there. I live in TN, but always find myself heading that directions for most of my rides. The last outing was to Flat Rock, NC for some BBQ.
I love milling around Waynesville (Sauced Pizza is awesome!) Robbinsville (Topoco Tavern), Bryson City (Everett St. Diner), and a number of other small towns that dot the region.
As you can see, there is a food theme with me.

3. From Asheville go N on the BRP to the Pisgah Inn to stay or have a great meal and Spectular views. Coming back towards AVL, just a little way there is a turn off to the left on to 151, The Devils Drop,, a floorboard dragger fer sure. you will come to to a 4 lane rt. head back to AVL or ????
5. AVL 26W to 25/70 to Hot Springs. stop for a nice hot tub relax { call check for reservations] then through town rt to 208 headed to TN. You will pass through Del Rio by the French Broad river then a few miles you will se Bobarosa Bar, Band stand, camping rental cabins, Tee shirt shop and travel traliers if ya enjoy too many cool brews.
