Good ideas and good marketing seldom go hand in hand. I agree that it isn't the best way to go. However... it isn't the business owner's responsibility but the rider's responsibility to ensure that they are in a condition to ride. I personally limit myself on what I drink and when while riding.

I'm definately up for one soon. I haven't taken my Train to the mountains yet. It will be a couple of weeks due to work but definately soon.

 

I ride up there most every weekend all year round, winter
is the best riding up there IMO so give me a call any time
you have a free weekend any time of year! From April thru
October I stay at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle camp ground
every weekend and ride from there, so if your into camping
check them out!

I don't know why people think bike night is wrong. It is just like anyplace else and especially a bar. You are responsible for yourself. They are just trying to get bikers together to have a good time and spend money there. You don't have to spend it on alcohol if you don't want to. The mistake this bar owner is making is to put the specials on alcohol when most responsible people will only have one or maybe two if they are eating. Most places here seem to put the specials on food. Free BBQ on the patio or big discounts. Let the people who are not driving buy most of the alcohol and everyone has a good time.
