Well, Blade, as of right now it looks like it's just gonna be the two of us goin'. Mrs Live2Ride is gonna stay in town and practice with my dad, my dad doesn't have a bike right now, and my sister just had dental work done and she's not feelin' up to ridin' this weekend. So unless someone else chimes in and says they want to join in, it'll just be the two of us goin' up there and eatin' up some crotch rockets on our Harleys.

I enjoy sleeping in on the weekends. It's a nice little bonus after waking up early all week long. 9:00 is early for me. That's normally about what time I wake up if I'm not going for a ride. And I don't go out and party on Friday night. I just enjoy my sleep and I'm not much of a morning person. However, I also don't like to spend the entire day on my bike all the time when I have things that need to get taken care of around the house. But anyway, after all this talk about 9:00 being early or not, how does meeting at the Spinx and headin' for Caesars Head at 9:00 sound?

I hear ya my friend.

I use to like to sleep in every chance I got in my younger
days myself. Between running a business, road racing for
a living, drag racing, kids, other family and just life in general
I never got to sleep in much myself. I'm totally amazed I
could ride 40,000 to 100,000 miles a year with all I had
going on back then.

Now I'm old and spoiled, the wife takes care of everything
around the house, yard work, painting, cleaning and what
ever else needs doing, I do repairs only! So I'm good to go
most any time I want to ride (and I do ride) LOL"

I was lucky as a kid, I hung out and rode with an old guy
( in his 60's) LOL" that taught me that mother natures
true beauty on a motorcycle was missed if I was not on my
motorcycle heading down the road at sun up. He was 100%
correct and I have always rode that way every chance I get.

Old guys are good for somethings! LOL"

By the way, the UPS man dropped off the Vance & Hines FuelPak today. From box to completely finished was 30 minutes. Fitting it under the seat was the hardest part. It was so easy that it's scary!!

That's awesome. Have you tested it out yet? Also, we might need to push back the time we leave to head to Caesars Head. I have to ride with Mrs Live2Ride to take her to my parents' house and then come back out here to meet you. I asked the Mrs what time she wanted to leave here to head to my parents' and she said she wanted to leave around 9:00. So I'm thinkin' I can be back here and ready to go aroun 9:45-10:00. That's later than I wanted to go, but it seems to be the only way I can.

Just got back!! Absolutely no popping or backfiring on decel in any gear. I can actually use the engine brake more now, and not worry about someone thinking I shot off a gun. What a huge difference!!

As far as Saturday goes, I can follow you up to your parent's if you don't want to have to turn around and come all the way back. We can make our way up 14 or 101 to 11, then over to 276. It's up to you, may save some time.

If you are coming south on 276, through Brevard, it's about another 20-30 minutes south. You'll cross into South Carolina, and climb a very little bit, then the park entrance will be on the right. It is free to go up there, and it's something you have to experience.
