I have heard that Fayetteville Arkansas has instated a "loud vehicle" ordinance and that this may be the last year for Bikes, Blues and BBQ in fayetteville. I have heard that they have been talking about moving B,B&BBQ to Ft Smith next year. Also the head of fayetteville city council has been down on Dickson St every thursday night video taping the happenings during weekly bike night. They are trying real hard to shut it down. Has anyone here heard about this? Sounds like our money isnt good enough for them.

Thely prolly think they can get ticket revenue for at least two more years, before folks stop attending, and the expense of the rally outweighs the income.

I went for 3 of the 4 days, I don't think they issued one noise ticket...I asked the cops myself, how loud is too loud, just as someone fired up a bike with drag pipes, and they said "that one's OK, just as long as You aren't being obnoxious, we won't bother anyone"...I think their public threats were to shut the complainers up...

 

I didn't see them messing with anyone either. I actually thought they where being pretty cool with thenoise and even letting the kids go up anddown dickson with themini choppers. Either wayI can't see them letting all that money go.

 

I heard alot of loud pipes and never saw one cop give a ticket and there were alot of cops on Dickson street that had plenty of chances to give tickets if they wanted too. Just don't be a total idiot and they won't bother you. I thought it was a great rally. Im really liked the pig trail ride.

 

the pig trail ride is one of our favorites...Sunday (rally was over Saturday) You couldn't get into Turner bend store for all the bikes...Ya just gotta watch out for deer, I seldom ride the pig trail and not see a deer that's been hit...

 

We loved the Pig Trail Ride. We rode it Saturday and there was not much traffic at all. We didn't see any deer. We had 9 riders and just had a nice smooth leasurely ride. We kind of took our time to enjoy the scenery and nice weather and twisty roads.
