Hickory N.C. Area Memorial Poker Run
Alex Moore was killed March 31st on his Ultraby someone that kept on driving. Alex was a Vietnam Vet and a recipient of the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was very active with helping Vets and always gave 100% of himself. He was involved in the Boy Scouts for over 20 years. He gave his time and energy to his church, his H.O.G. club, his friends, and esp his wife and two children. Registration will begin at Blue Ridge H-D at 10:00 on August 4th. Departure time is 11:00. Tripwill be 100 miles (rd trip), then back to Blue Ridge for BBQ, door prizes, and drawings. First 150 to register will get a poker run t-shirt. 20.00 singles, 35.00couples, 10.00 children under 12. The winning hand will win a three day two night stay in Myrtle Beach. Come with a full tank of gas, and an empty belly. Helpput Alex's children thru school!!! See you there!!! We are planning on riding in this as long as I get my new tire put on. Blue Ridge told me they could do it Sunday and everybody was telling me sometime next week so I checked with Freedon Rider's and I may have it back tomorrow...I am hoping anyways, its been parked with cord showing through since last Thursday...damn 18" wheels, I had to order one because nobody around here keeps them[:@]

I know they are leaving BR and going down Startown Rd to 321 and on to T-Bones on Lake Norman, passing under I-85 and taking the back roads. Then after the FREE, did I say FREE lunch at T-Bones, they are headed to Vinnies, then up 16 onto Sherrills Ford Rd, back into Conover, and back to BR for more food. Hubby can give you more details, if he gets to log in today. Work is really a bother for him.
