Hello all,

I will be riding this Sunday. Headed to the mountains! I have planned a route wich I am going to ride. I posted a map to show where I will be riding. It's a decent sized voyage. If anyone cares to join, you're more than welcome to. I will be coming in from Charlotte on Rt.11 toward Rt.9.

The entire trip (excluding my ride home) is a 300 mile loop. Deals Gap and a Chuck's suggested Deli are my highlights. As far as hitting the Dragon, that's optional. 28 is as good as 129 and much less traffic. I particularly don't care for the Dragon.

If you are interested, post here for meeting times. I have not designated a time yet. The route is somewhat flexible.

I live a stones throw from Buffalo Mountain on the south side of Johnson City.
Take me an hour + 10 to get to the south side of Asheville.

 

I'm in unless my grand-daughter decides to be born this weekend. She's due any day now. Is there somewhere at highway 9&11 where we can meet? What time?

Hey Snort.. no worries bro! There are plenty of weekends still coming. Get better first and then we can carve the mountains!

mopar & wisemx: As of now.. (depending on who chimes in) I can meet mopar at intersection 9 & 11 at 9:00 am. Than we can head north to meet wisemx at 10:00 am in Asheville. These times are not set in stone yet. Stay tuned!

I can go to early services Sunday, which end at 8:30.
That 10:00 time you set for me was a blessing because it will give me enough time.

Nice route, it's not as long as the one I'm doing
tomorrow (Saturday) I'm leaving about 5:30 AM
to meet up with a bunch of guys at 7AM close to
11 @ I 85

I want to hook up with you guys at 9 & 11 Sunday
at 9AM also.

So could you or someone going on this Sunday ride
call my Cell 704-236-2885 and leave me a Cell # to
call to get the scoop for Sunday as I'm not going to
be able to get back on here again this weekend..

I would also like someones cell number so I can call
if we miss each other Sunday morning and get hooked
back up some where.

Hi Guys,

I met up with a couple of guys from the Greenville area tonight. We are going the Asheville direction Sunday, but i don't think we will be able to make the trip with ya. All of us seem to have other responsibilities Sunday afternoon. We are thinking of leaving out of Greenville around 9 and could be in Ashville for a meet and greet probably around 10:30 if any of you are up to it?? I will check with the others to see if they want to leave a little earlier. Let me know. Chime in guys if you catch this post.

simcom: We should be in Asheville around that time on Sunday. I don't see why we couldn't meet. You guys shouldmeet us at Rt.9 and 11. We can ride up to Asheville together. As of now we have Me, Chuck and mopar meeting at 9 and 11 around 9:00 am. If you can't, that's cool. We'll see you's in Asheville!

I haven't heard from Dynamite yet. I hope he chimes in and lets us know if he got his bike back.
