Lie WendyJo, I am a member at Charlotte. About 400 members give or take a few at any one time. Usually over 150 for meetings. There are folks who have riden together for along time and may seem to be a clique but beleive me, if you show up for the rides, get to know folks, there are no cliques. My first year, I helped by volunteering for events. That's a quick way for folks to get to know you and to know them. They plan rides for every ability. If you're a national member come on down and give us a try.

My wife and I are members at the Gastonia HOG group at Carolina HD on Franklin Blvd, exit 20 I-85. Large group each month, 70 to 80, real participation. Good rides, both for the members and Ladies of Harley. Can access the web site via Carolina HD site. Still a good ride for you from your location. We got prompt response and have been in it since Feb this year. THere are several from the G-HOGs that are going on the HOHS cruise this November out of Port Canaverial.

I was invited to join the chapter at Blue Ridge Hd in Hickory awhile back. I met the ride capt'n "Darrel" through a friend. He seemed like good people! But I live in the Gastoniaarea, so I'm thinking of joining up there sometime in the future. [8D]
