I always book through Dunes Realty. Lots of homes on the beach, one block off the beach or a couple blocks off the beach. The homes are in Murriels Inlet which is a great place to stay. Most of the action is in South Myrtle. I have found that North Myrtle is a long ride home from places like Suck Bang Blow and the Beaver Bar after a long day of partying late at night. I stayed in North Myrtle two years in a row when I first started going to Myrtle Bike Week back in 2006 and found the rental homes to be dirty and full of roaches and bugs. Have never had that issue with the homes managed by Dunes Realty. Dunes.com is their site.

 

Been staying in the Cherry Grove area for over 20 years (spring & fall) and never seen a bug of any description inside any rental house that I was renting.

Although I have seen some houses in the area that might be questionable and would not be on my short list, but you can see those in any geographic area.

The only thing that we need now is for someone to turn the water off!!!
